Update 5-1-2024
Tower crews finished painting all of the ground based structures between the tower and the three transmitter buildings. The tower has been painted up to approximately 390 feet. Crews are currently working between 390-490 feet.

The tower crew is finishing the structures near the ground. As weather allows, work will continue on the tower very soon.

Tower crews have been working on the structures near the ground since the last update. This work continues.
Update 12-20-2023
The tower crews are working between approximately 320-440 feet above ground as weather permits, and working on ground structures at other times. The tower has been painted up to approximately 320 feet.

Tower crews are currently working between 238-318 feet above the base of the tower.

Tower crews are currently working between 168 - 238 feet above the base of the tower.
Update 7-5-2023
The bottom 45 feet of the tower has been prepped and painted. The tower crew has received additional components for the containment system and will begin test fitting and installation of the next tower section this week.
Update 6-13-2023
The tower crew is working to assemble the containment system near the base of the tower in order to finalize the function of the system.

VTS has arrived on site to begin ground work on the containment system framework.
Update 5-9-2023
Consistent with previously described plans, today workers started delivering equipment to be used to support the repainting process. The equipment is custom-designed and fabricated for the tower. Assembly and pilot testing will require at least several weeks of work. We wanted to notify the community that you may observe related activity.

Baltimore City permit to commence work has now been issued.
Expect to see painting crews from VTS on site in the coming weeks.

Materials and crews are expected to arrive on site the first week of May, 2023.
